Kevin Coyne, President & Chief Executive Officer

Kevin Coyne is the Chief Executive Officer of e3 and has over two decades of experience in the software industry. Kevin is responsible for the development and execution of the company's strategic vision and management of e3's growth in the area of enterprise carbon management and carbon accounting. Kevin has been a key executive for angel and institutional investors for privately held software technology investments during their early stages and high growth periods. Most recently, as a top executive at BPS, a developer of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) software for the financial services industry, Kevin built the start up into a recognized GRC platform. During his four-year tenure at BPS, he spearheaded strategic customer acquisitions with Wall Street’s top three investment banks and the world's largest privately held mutual fund company resulting on significant software transactions and an explosive growth of the company. He is a frequent speaker on technology applicability in a wide variety of markets. Kevin holds a BA in English and Communications from Western Michigan University.

 
Les Gower, Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary
Les Gower is CFO & Corporate Secretary of e3 and is responsible for all Financial and Human Resource functions of the company. Over the past three decades, Les Gower has held numerous management and finance related positions. Les began his business career as a corporate lending officer with the Mercantile Bank of Canada. He has since held positions of Vice President Finance and Administration, General Manager, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, Corporate Secretary and President. Since 1995 as the principal of CFO Services, he has provided strategic and financial planning and management to companies across a range of industries including computer software, manufacturing, and distribution. In January of 2005, Les joined Business Propulsion Systems Inc., a developer of goverance, risk, and control software focusing on the financial services and reporting issuer markets. At BPS, Les held the positions of Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary. Les is an officer of the New Carbon Economy Venture Management Inc. and related entities and serves in management and advisory capacities for various investee companies. Les has also served on the board of directors of several private and small cap public companies and community service organizations. He is a graduate of McMaster University and holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business.
 
Chris Lee, Vice President, Product Development
Chris Lee is Vice President, Product Development at e3 responsible for development and management of e3's extensive product lines. Chris has more than 10 years of experience implementing environmental management systems, including programs that adhere to ISO 140001 standards. Throughout his career, Chris has played a major role in the deployment of electronic data collection, calculation, management and reporting systems for a range of public and private sector clients. Prior to joining e3 Solutions, he was a Senior Developer with Blue292 and Caribou Systems. As e3’s Product Development Manager, he is responsible for overseeing and implementing key application development goals. Chris holds a BAS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a post-graduate diploma from the Information Technology Institute.
 
Julian Moffatt, Vice President, Client Solutions
Julian Moffatt serves as Vice President, Client Solutions at e3 and brings a decade of expertise designing and implementing electronic environmental management systems. Julian has held various product development and client management positions, including VP of Product Development for Blue292 and Product Design Specialist for Caribou Systems. Julian is e3’s principal environmental contact, application designer and system architect. He also plays an integral role in directing future product development, making extensive use of his years as a Pollution Abatement Officer and consultant for Environment Canada and an Environmental Engineer for Petro-Canada. Julian’s key accomplishments during this period include authorship of contaminated site remediation criteria for the Government of Canada (published by the CCME in 1997); the development of water, soil and groundwater testing programs at petroleum refinery sites; and the implementation of environmental auditing programs at industrial facilities throughout Ontario.
 
Julie Matthews, Director, Carbon Advisory Services
Julie brings more than 17 years of project and program management experience to e3's Carbon Advisory Services group in support of complex carbon management implementations.  She is an expert in guiding clients through the design, delivery, and implementation of enterprise solutions. Over the last three years Julie has focused on delivering customized carbon and energy management programs for organizations accross North America including organizations such as City of Waterloo, York Region, Toronto Community Housing, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Exhibition Place (City of Toronto), and the Ottawa Senators.
