Her seventeen years of experience within the energy and building industry allows e3 to strategically advise clients on their carbon and energy management requirements. Julie has played a leadership role in the development of environmental, sustianability, and energy conservation programs for Fortune 500 companies as well as small to medium sized organizations. Most recently, Julie was a key member for the start up of Direct Energy's own Carbon Footprint Reduction program. Over the last three years Julie has focused on delivering customized carbon and energy management programs for organizations across North America, including Direct Energy, York Region, Toronto Community Housing, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Brookfield Le Page Johnson Controls (BLJC) and Johnson Controls, where she built her expertise in the areas of energy, facilities, and project management. "In the last few years, I have dedicated my career to working with organizations to help them understand the role of and importance of measuring, monitoring, and verifying activities to significantly reduce risk and promote a focus on the economic, environmental, and social bottom line (TBL)", said Matthews. "e3 Solutions has spent the last 10 years building the framework for a robust and transparent web-based carbon management tool, that has the capability to measure and manage carbon at the individual asset level as well as provide a detailed audit trail for calculations and source activities. The ability for clients to cost-effectively demonstrate transparency and report on carbon reduction projects is important for organizations as we move into a carbon constrained market."
